Simple ecommerce solution widened charity’s reach
Hft are a national charity that provides local support for people with learning difficulties. They help with access to employment advice, creative activities, and clever life enhancing technology.
The challenge:
Hft wanted to be able to offer their intelligently sourced gadgets and equipment to a wider UK community. They needed an ecommerce solution that integrated with their current brand and website, and one that was flexible enough to add more products in the future. They also wanted to manage and update the shop themselves.
The solution:
Graphix Asset developed a fully branded online store with a blog and data collection facility (newsletter sign-up). The site is fully responsive and works across mobile, tablet and computer devices. It has a fully functioning shopping cart and takes all major credit cards.
The system automatically calculates postage and VAT rates, and sends an immediate alert to the shop manager when someone makes a purchase.
Graphix Asset also sourced the products Hft wanted to sell in the store, and negotiated supply chain details (price, margin and shipping arrangements). We also provided staff training on how to run, manage and update the site themselves.
The Results:
The store launched in July 2013 and has been tracked using analytics and it’s own built-in sales reporting system. Early signs indicate that people are engaging with the site and find the products useful and easy to order. Plans are afoot to expand the range and further raise awareness of Hft and it’s products and services.
